In this application an existing storm drainage area in front of private residences along Arnoldtown Road in southwest Louisville had erosion problems due to storm water flow. QK4 Engineers of Louisville opted to use 12" tall, 18" deep with 3' long cells of Midwest Welded Wire Gabions. Contractor on jobsite completed approxamitly 900 lf. of ditch on both sides 3 to 4 feet high. Contractor also desided on a "Hybrid Design" using the PVC coated gabions on the bottom course and Galvanized Gabions on the upper courses.

Contractor installing Gabions with Gabion Clip Fastening gun avaible for rent and sale at Midwest Construction Products. Fabric was installed before Gabions for stabilization and filtration applications. Be sure to contact your local Midwest Salesperson to get the right fabric for your job application.
