How is that possible when today's standards are tougher than ever you ask?
The Klarier™ activated by HaloKlear is the answer!Midwest Construction Products' Klarier™ featuring HaloKlear's Dual Biopolymer system incorporates a modied sediment retention bag with preloaded Biopolymer injection system inside. While the common sediment retention bag of the past works well at taking some sediment out of the water, they do not get the water to today's compliancy levels.
Midwest Construction Products' Sediment Removal bag is double stitched with a strong bonded polyester thread to assure there are no blow outs. These bags can be made to order for the size you need. From bags that fit in the back of a pick-up to bags that fit in the back of dump trucks, we have the size you need!
Our Sediment Removal Bag is made from a heavy 8 oz. non-woven geotextile fabric. This fabric, our GeoForce-NW8, was designed to have high water flow, while maintaining excellent tensile, elongation, and puncture strengths. Dirty water enters the bag by the use of an industrial pump. Simply cut the corner out of the bag, insert pump hose and clamp. Once you turn on the pump you will immediately begin to see the bag start working. Water filters through while the sediment remains in the bag. Once the bag is filled with sediment, remove hose and discard bag. Once the bag dries, it can be cut open and the dirt can be put back on site where it belongs! Contaminated water is pumped from the construction area with a standard jobsite dewatering pump at a rate of
800 to 1000 gallons per minute. The outflow hose of the pump is connected to the Klarifier's Activation Injection Port.
The Activation Injection Port is part of the Klarifier's injection baffle system designed specifically to agitate, dose, and
activate the StormKlear Dual Biopolymer system.
is then cast through a specialized baffle system that helps agitate the water. The water is then forced through a
geofilter envelope where the sediment is then contained within the specialized sediment retention bag.
As the bag fills, clean treated water is then forced out of the bag returning to the contaminated area. The picture below
shows a Bonita Springs city official filling a sample bottle of water coming out of the bag.
Background NTU numbers on this project were around 5. Water at the intake measured 162 the first test and 187 the
second test taken 10 minutes later. After 2 minutes of running, water measured 43. After 10 minutes of running, water
measured 9. After 20 minutes of running water was an astounding 3.2 NTUs!!
We came in 1 under base, SUCCESS!!
Actual numbers on all tests and a testimonial on how they thought it worked will be provided by
Bonita Springs next week.
This particular Klarifier™ is a 7.5' x 15' bag fabricated from Midwest Construction Products Geoforce Non-Woven
geotextile with 300 grams of DBP-2100 and 300 grams StormKlear Gelfloc pre-sewn pouches inside our
polyester coated non-permeable activation injection system. The Klarifier™ can be made and preloaded to job specific variables! More information, Specifications, and test data to follow.
